Hello All!
It has truly been a life time since I last posted here. I had hoped this blog would bring a routine or  some kind of structure to my life, but it was the opposite. Honestly I had hoped it would be like Julie and Julia (if you haven't seen it I highly recommend). I would play the over ambitious Julie played  Amy Adams and the entire world would be Julia, my muse and my inspiration to do something.  It's not that I didn't find interest in blogging it was purely, I didn't have enough time. However as my New Year's Resolution I plan to post at least 2-3 times a wee k with various segments including OOTDs, projects, and thrifty finds.
Leave a comment for your New Years Resolution for this post!
And stop on by to see the progress for EAT PRAY THRIFT!
Be on the lookout for a new post on New Years Day and see what awaits us in 2K16!

Hello everyone it has been ages since I last updated this blog and I am super sorry! It has been busy the past couple weeks however I'm here today to share a new Make it Monday! This week I will be working on a super cute back pack. The pattern and lace trim I bought at a flea market so total I spent about $2.50. The plaid and yellow fabric I got free from my grandma so that helps quite a bit! I have been wanting a cute little bag to tote around with and I thought "Why not make my own?!" I just need to pick up 8 "D" rings and 3/4" medium stress self- gripping fastener. I hope to have this done by next Monday, fingers crossed. Here are the pics down below!

Garage Sale Finds #2

Hello everyone! This weekend I got some great stuff at a few garage sales. I got a box full of sewing notions including fabric, thread, patches, needles, etc. I also got a bust practically brand new! What a find! These goodies will be added to my stash of sewing supplies.
On top of all those great things I also picked up a bag/briefcase for only 50 cents! It has a few compartments and pockets on the inside and back. It's even big enough to fit my laptop, which I think is a major bonus! It looks so smart!

OOTD Friday #2

Welcome everybody today is Friday and it's time for my 2nd OOTD (Outfit Of The Day). This OOTD features a denim day dress with a blue and white striped shirt and a pair of strappy sandals. This outfit is perfect for a Fourth of July party or just out and about running errands. I plan on pairing this outfit with a red head scarf for a pop of color and a patriotic statement.

Shirt($3.00 Thrift Store)
Dress($12.00 Rue 21)
Sandals(.75 cents Garage Sale)

You could change the shirt for a sweater depending on season or rock a studded shirt for an edgy look. Makeup for this look can be super understated and natural or over the top edgy depending on the look you want. I prefer something light for the summer, like nudes and pinks that compliment every skin tone. Of course you can add your own flare of style by just being you!

Make it Monday #2

Hello this post is coming a bit late due to unforeseen technical difficulties! Last week I showed off my cape that was a work in progress. I have finally finished it! I decided to leave off the buttons that I previously wanted to use. Partly because they were a smidge to big for the front of the cape and I don't like button holes. Now I have decided that I will use pins to hold it closed as you will see in the pictures. Check it out below!

Cape made by me! Pin given to my mother and borrowed by me!
Doesn't it look great?!

OOTD Friday #1

You made it to the end of the week! Welcome everybody today is Friday and it's time to unveil my very 1st OOTD (Outfit Of The Day). Todays outfit dresses down a black pencil skirt and is paired with a white graphic t-shirt featuring Johnny Depp as Crybaby.

To add a little flair to the outfit I accessorized with black, lace up wedges, black suspenders, and my go to cat eye sunglasses. You can also throw a cute fitted blazer on instead of the suspenders and substitute the wedges for a pair of Doc Martins to fit your style. Makeup wise, I would add a pop of color with a bright red lip and a strong winged liner. Tie your hair up with a bandana and you are ready to shake, rattle, and roll.

 Skirt (free-from friend)

T-shirt ($2.99-bargain store) and suspenders (half price-Hot Topic)

Black lace up wedges (Christmas gift-Shoe Show)

Winged/Cat eye sunglasses (gift-flea market)

Make it Monday #1

Happy Monday everyone! Today I will be showing you my Make It Monday project. I love sewing and fashion and one thing I don't have is a  cape!? Many of you are probably thinking "what?" I think it is a great cross between a poncho (which I love) and a coat. Sadly I didn't photograph the whole process but I will the next project.  Now this is not a super hero one, but a stylish one. The materials in total cost $7.10 (with the exception that some of the materials I already had). All the materials except the lining and interfacing were bought at garage sales and flea markets. Check out the pictures down below.

(Look below for pictures)
Pattern 10 cents (Flea Market)

(From Left to Right) Black lining (had), Interfacing (had),
Grey Wool Blend (bought in a bag with several other fabrics at garage sale) $5.00

Blue and Green buttons (bought at flea market) $2.00 for both

Front and Back of cape

Collar

There are still a lot of things to do to finish this soon to be the star of winter. I need to finish the front and bottom hems and attach the collar. I also still need to figure out how I'm going to work around the buttons without making a button hole. My plan is to use the green buttons because the blue ones are almost as dark as the cape. Who doesn't like a pop color?

Welcome! My first post!

This weekend I went to a couple of great garage sales and picked up some cool looking handkerchiefs. There are nine total, ranging in pattern and size. I picked up these little cuties for only $2.00! What a steal! They all seem to be in good condition minus a few stains from over the years. Not sure what my plans are for them yet but I'm sure I'll find something to do with them.
Check them out !
